Growing up in New Zealand and Australia, Mark was surrounded by the water from an early age. With his father working as a boat builder, the ocean was always a central part of life, shaping his appreciation for the natural world and its rare treasures.
It was this early exposure that sparked a lasting fascination with pearls - organic gemstones formed in bodies of water, each one completely unique.

Mark went on to study gemology in Brisbane, building a strong technical foundation in the identification, grading, and sourcing of gemstones.
